A full-fledged work by Torifune Butohsha, headed by butoh artist Kayo Mikami.
Torifune Butohsha was founded in 1991 by author Yuukio Mikami, based on Kayo Mikami’s “Theory of Tatsumi Hijikata’s Ankoku Butoh” (Ochanomizu University master’s and doctoral thesis).
This work premiered in 2012. The dance was inspired by the unprecedented Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred in 2011 and the reconstruction of Japan after the war, and is regarded as one of Torifune Butohsha’s best works.
